Barack and the Media

I find myself increasingly disgusted by the lack of any media coverage of Barack and his entire campaign.  I realize that he is on TV almost 24/7, but all they seem to be doing is fawning.  I know this has been discussed a lot, but it really is starting to feel personal to me, so I wanted to write about it.

I mean, really, what are we missing?  Or more importantly, why can the media see what we see?  At this point I would think that there is enough of a critical mass against Barack that the media would start to feel like they HAVE to cover some of it.  But still, nothing.

I know we all know the reason: he is getting a free pass because almost everyone in the media wants him to win.  After all, he is the picture perfect Progressive.  The reincarnation of Bobby Kennedy, sent to free us from 40 years of conservative tyranny.

But at some point I guess I feel like they have to say SOMETHING about Barack, other than admiring him!

I mean, come on people!  This is normally red meat for the media types.  The flip-flops, the surrogate attacks, the lack of any policies, being on the wrong side of any number of issues.  Under any other circumstances this guy wouldn't last a week.

Frustrating to watch.

I content myself with believing that at some point, someone in the media will go after him.  Howie Kurtz did a little bit.  But it'll take someone with a little more juice.  And once the floodgates open, I hope that the water will come rushing in and drown Comrade Barack.

Till then, I guess we'll just have to endure the love-fest and pray that this guy doesn't win.

Good night from the Dog!
